Matt is a Managing Partner based in San Francisco.
Before Princeville Global, Matt was a Partner at Princeville’s predecessor fund, SoftBank Princeville, a growth-stage venture fund affiliated with SoftBank Group. Matt was instrumental in both the fundraising and capital deployment of SoftBank Princeville, sourcing and subsequently involved in the fund's investments in Criteo (Nasdaq: CRTO), Kabbage, Kony, Chloe & Isabel and IgnitionOne. During his tenure at SoftBank Princeville, Matt was also an active advisor to SoftBank Group, Alibaba, YAHOO! Japan and Sprint Corp. on technology-related ventures.
Prior to SoftBank Princeville, Matt was a Vice President at Investor Growth Capital, the growth-stage venture arm of Investor AB. He was actively involved in many of the firm's investments including Dotomi (acquired by ValueClick/Conversant), Greenway Medical Technologies (Nasdaq: GWAY; acquired by Vista Equity Partners), ID Analytics (acquired by LifeLock), ContextWeb, Visible Technologies, Rocket Lawyer, Healthline Networks and Exagrid. Matt began his venture career at Canaan Partners and was previously a technology investment banker at Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Matt lives with his wife and three young children in Silicon Valley. Matt is a New York native and an avid photographer and traveler. Matt holds an A.B. in History with honors from Harvard College, where he graduated a year early and was a member of the varsity swim team.
